Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996 in Miami Florida. She is half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father is an Argentine who had Scottish as well as English roots. Her mother is Spanish-English. Taylor Joy has four siblings, one from each of her parents' previous marriages. The family was in Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria part in London. According to Taylor-Joy, the removal was extremely difficult for her and she was unable to study English to the hope of returning to Argentina. Hill House became her school preference after she was ordered to move schools. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting career. Taylor-Joy had always wanted to be an actor. As a teenager, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the chance to become a model.
