Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor director, producer, playwright, educator, and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the daughter of both a British father as well as an British-born Turkish Cypriot mother. Her appearances in commercials were numerous in her early years. Anna was able to move to Toronto in order to help her acting grow. In the following years, she moved to Los Angeles. Anna met Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actors' training held in Los Angeles, and they became engaged in 2009. Anna has since converted to Judaism at the time Seth Cooperman and Anna had been wed in the month of December in Fredericton. In April 2011 the couple renewed their wedding vows by having the traditional Jewish ceremony.
