Lowell started acting when she starred in Dangerously Close. She then had a small role in the Robin Williams film Club Paradise. She then went on to roles that included co-starring as Bond girl Pam Bouvier in the James Bond film Licence to Kill (1989) as well, starting in 1996 as the Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross for two seasons in the drama television series Law & Order, a character she reprised in 2005 as a guest in the spinoff series, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and reprised the role on the original show in 2022, when it was relaunched for the 21st season. The actress was disappointed by her acting career and applied to New York University to study documentary filmmaking. [4] The actress took a break from acting during the mid-2000s.
